Start with your question

Drying, glass or everyday wiping?

Choose a Dreadnought towel for drying, plush towels for suitable wiping tasks and dedicated low-lint towels for glass. Keep each job separate.

What should I use to dry the paint?

A clean, dedicated drying towel is the starting point. A larger twist-pile drying towel is made for water pickup; an ordinary small wiping towel is not a like-for-like substitute.

Why does a towel leave my glass streaky?

Residue, a contaminated towel or using too much cleaner can all contribute. Use a clean, low-lint glass-appropriate towel; one for cleaning and a separate dry one for the final pass can help.

Can one towel do wheels, interior and paint?

Keep those jobs separate. Wheel grit, tire products and interior dressings should not be carried onto paint or glass. Assign towels by task and retire any that remain contaminated.

A practical starting point

Put your shopping list together.

Choose individual products below, or send a list to Parts to check sizes, quantities and showroom availability. These are suggestions, not pre-packed kits.

Each product is sold separately. Follow the current product instructions for compatibility and use. Parts will confirm availability and any pickup arrangements before you make a special trip.

Your next steps

A simple towel system.

Choose your supplies, prepare the work area and follow the selected product’s instructions. Use the steps below to plan the job.

  1. Assign each towel a job

Keep dedicated drying, paint-wiping, glass and dirty-work towels. Colors can help your own organization, but the color does not define a towel's specification.

  2. Inspect and use clean faces

Check for debris before touching a surface. Fold a wiping towel to expose clean sections, change sections as they become dirty and do not keep using a towel dropped on the ground without cleaning it.

  3. Wash for the next use

Follow the towel and detergent care instructions. Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets, separate heavily contaminated towels and use the recommended drying conditions.
