Start with your question
Wheel cleaner, polish or compound?
These solve different problems. A clearer choice starts with identifying dirt, contamination or an actual defect in the paint.
My wheels are dirty. Do I need polish?
Start with a compatible wheel cleaner, such as The Beast or Full Effect, and appropriate cleaning tools. A paint-polishing compound is not the starting point for ordinary wheel dirt.
Perfect Finish is a medium-cut polish; Cutmax is a heavier cutting compound. Light defects do not automatically call for Cutmax. Test a suitable pad-and-liquid combination and inspect the result before increasing cut.
If my wheels still look marked, should I use more cleaner?
Not automatically. Baked-on contamination, a damaged coating and a damaged wheel finish are different issues. Stop and identify what remains rather than repeatedly escalating chemical strength.
Two different jobs. Choose for the one in front of you.
Wheel care and paint correction need different products. Our SONAX collection includes wheel cleaners alongside Cutmax and Perfect Finish—not a one-product answer to every surface.
01
The Beast Wheel Cleaner
A color-changing wheel cleaner for dirt and contamination on compatible wheel finishes. Check the product instructions and ask about your finish if you are unsure.
Perfect Finish is a medium-cut polish; Cutmax is a heavier cutting compound. The right starting point depends on the paint, defects, pad and machine—not just how much cut is available.
Choose individual products below, or send a list to Parts to check sizes, quantities and showroom availability. These are suggestions, not pre-packed kits.
Wheel & tire care
Choose a cleaner for the wheel finish, keep the tools separate, then finish the tire sidewalls if desired.
Each product is sold separately. Follow the current product instructions for compatibility and use. Parts will confirm availability and any pickup arrangements before you make a special trip.
Your next steps
Clean first. Correct only when the surface needs it.
Choose your supplies, prepare the work area and follow the selected product’s instructions. Use the steps below to plan the job.
Confirm the finish and conditions
Identify the wheel or paint finish before selecting a product. Follow its approved surfaces and working conditions; work on cool surfaces where directed.
Do the appropriate cleaning or test spot
For wheels, follow the cleaner's dwell, agitation and rinse directions without letting it dry. For paint correction, start with a small matched pad-and-polish test area.
Inspect and finish
Rinse or wipe off as the product requires and inspect in good light. If compounding leaves haze, evaluate a refining step rather than applying protection over an unfinished result.
