Rinse the car. Use a compatible pre-wash when the dirt level calls for it; follow that product's directions and do not let it dry on the surface.
Use the appropriate shampoo with a clean wash mitt, rinse thoroughly and dry with a dedicated clean drying towel. Keep wheel tools separate from paint-contact tools.
If protection is needed, apply the selected product to the surface and conditions specified on its label. Do not stack products just because they share a brand name.
